Steven Mostowa

April 20, 1956 — October 22, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Michael Mostowa on October 22, 2023 in Camarillo, California.
Steven was born on April 20, 1956 in Reseda, California to Peter “Pete” Mostowa and Margaret “Peggy” Mostowa (née Jenkins).
Known as “Mike” by many, he will forever be cherished by his family, close friends, and community.
Mike was a Skilled Carpenter for over 40 years. He was a perfectionist and a true Craftsman. Mike was selfless and served his community with pride. Mike’s priorities in life were love of God, devotion to family, and commitment to community service. Mike was passionate about his love of God and his daily life demonstrated his deep Catholic Spirituality. Mike’s devotion to family did not just include his wife and his children but also his parents, his siblings, his extended family, close friends, and anyone else he considered his family. Mike gave countless hours volunteering within his community, at his children’s schools, coaching sports, and with Boy Scouts. Mike was always there to lend a hand. Mike enjoyed being a leader and standing up for the little guy. For Mike, no job was ever too big or too small.
Mike was preceded in death by his brother “baby boy Mostowa”, his parents, his brother-in-law Ron Grant, and nephew Robert “Bobby” Buscher.
Mike was survived by his wife, Ann Mostowa (née Buscher); his sons, Peter Mostowa and his wife Veronica & Andrew Mostowa and his wife Briana; his two daughters, Courtney & Carrie Mostowa. He is also survived by his twin brother, Peter E. Mostowa; three sisters, Katherine “Kitty” Goding, Helen “Gayle” Phillips and her husband Forrest, Patricia “Patti” Smith and her husband Robert; his sister-in-law, Eileen Evanoff (née Buscher) and her husband Mark; his brother-in-laws, Robert A. Buscher & Richard E. Buscher and his wife Lisa; his eight nephews, Ronnie Grant and his wife Madeline, Evan Goding, Nicholas Smith, Kirk Evanoff, Evan M. Mostowa, Stephen Buscher, Jonathan Buscher, & Ryan Buscher; ten nieces, Rhonda Miles (née Grant) and her husband Forest, Kristine “Kristie” Kopf (née Grant) and her husband Andrew, Tawnia Phillips, Tricia Phillips, Robin Apalategui (née Smith), Desireé McKinny (née Mostowa), Heather Gibson (née Mostowa), Caitlin Evanoff, Elizabeth Buscher, Kathryn Buscher; & two amazing grandchildren, Leighton Williams & Zeke Mostowa- along with two more on the way who will grow up hearing many stories of their legendary Grandpa Mike.
