Richard Lannom

December 31, 1969 — October 15, 2022

On October 15th, 2022, Richard Loren Lannom passed away peacefully in Moorpark, CA after a long fought courageous battle with cancer.
Richard was born on January 8th, 1944, in Glendale California to Kenneth and Elsie Lannom. He graduated from Montebello High School in 1962, completed his curriculum in electrical construction and maintenance and graduated from Los Angeles Trade-Technical College in June of 1965. He enlisted in the United States Airforce in November of 1965 and being honorably discharged in November of 1971. Richard retired from the Los Angeles Times in 2001, after being an electrician for more than 35 years.
Richard is preceded in death by his loving wife of 42 years, Rosemary Lannom. He is survived by his sister Joyce Watts, his son Curtis Lannom (Juanita), daughter Chery Ward (Michael) and grand daughter Briona Ward.
Besides spending time with his family, Richard loved traveling with his wife, Rosemary. After Rosemary's death in 2009, Richard found solace in becoming a cattle rancher in Moorpark. He truly loved his time on horseback and learning a new trade with his friends on the ranch.
Richard and Rosemary had a very strong faith in Christ and spending time with their church family/ friends. For almost 3 decades Richard had been attending Grace Bible Church in Moorpark.
