A beloved member of her family and community, Monica's life was a tapestry woven with love, devotion, and cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Monica was the devoted wife of the late Edward Heller, with whom she shared a profound partnership filled with affection and mutual support. Together, they nurtured a family that blossomed under their care. Monica was also preceded in death by her precious daughter, Debra Heller. Their absence leaves a profound void, yet their legacy lives on through the love and strength they imparted.

She took great joy in her role as a grandmother, doting on her grandchildren, who include Scott Heller and his wife Tina, Matthew Heller and his wife Yazmine, Ryan Heller, Anthony Heller, Andrew Heller and his fiancée Stephanie Olivos, and Tara Tatangelo. Each of them carries a piece of her spirit, embodying the values and love she instilled in them.
Also left to cherish her memory is her sister-in-law, Jean Balaam, who witnessed the strength and grace that defined Monica’s life. Monica's family roots extend back to her late brother, Edward Balaam, and her late sister, Valerie Balaam, as well as her late parents, Walter and Nettie Balaam. Their bonds shaped Monica's journey, deeply influencing her character and the warmth she shared with others.
A graveside service to honor Monica's life will be held on January 10, 2025, at Oakwood Memorial Park in Los Angeles, California. Family and friends will gather to pay tribute to a remarkable woman whose kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love enriched the lives of all who knew her.
