Milan Rokac, affectionately known to family and friends as "Dino," passed away on December 2, 2024, leaving behind a legacy characterized by love, creativity, and dedication. He was born on March 9, 1966, in Bratislava, Slovakia, and eventually found his calling in life in the United States, where he proudly served in the Marine Corps. His commitment to service was a foundational aspect of who he was and a source of immense pride for his family.
For the past 15 years, Milan worked as a Security Guard, a role that suited his protective nature and embodied his desire to keep others safe. Previous to that, he worked as a background actor for movies and television, and thoroughly enjoyed sharing his stories of that time. Beyond his professional life, he was a devoted husband to Elizabeth "Betsy" Rokac and a loving father to his two sons, Thomas and Jackson. Being a father was perhaps Milan's proudest accomplishment; he cherished every moment spent with Tom and Jack. He was actively involved in their lives, volunteering at their schools, taking them to parks, and helping them celebrate milestones and everyday joys alike.
Milan's creativity shone through in many ways. He found joy in creating memes and art projects, bringing laughter and color to those around him. He had a talent for painting outdoor holiday decorations, infusing homes with spirit and cheer during festive seasons. His great smile and outgoing personality made him the center of attention, as he embraced life fully and shared his vibrant spirit with others.
He left this world surrounded by wonderful family members who will forever treasure the memories they shared. Milan is survived by his beloved wife, Betsy; their sons, Thomas and Jackson; his sister, Jenny Rokac Masterson; his brother-in-law, John Masterson; and his cherished nephews, Joshua and James Botten. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Darina Rokac, who undoubtedly watch over him with love.
Milan's legacy lives on through the laughter of his sons and the warmth he brought to his family and community. His life was a beautiful tapestry woven together with love, creativity, and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.
