Mary Zorc

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mary Zorc (nee Mitchell), who passed away after a brief illness surrounded by her loved ones on October 15th 2022. Mary was the beloved wife of Darryl Zorc, dearest mother of Christopher Zorc; daughter of the late John and Agatha Mitchell; sister of Patricia (late Larry) Thomas; loving aunt; and a loyal friend to many more.
Mary was born in Cleveland, OH and resided in Simi Valley, CA for most of her life. She attended Cuyahoga Community College, and went on to have a 30 year career with Farmers Insurance. In addition to her family and career, Mary spent time fundraising for breast cancer awareness and prevention. She was a lifelong fan of baseball and basketball, and could most often be found cheering on her favorite teams.
Mary was an extraordinarily thoughtful person who consistently shared positive and encouraging messages with those she held dear. She embodied warmth, kindness, and gratitude in all aspects of her life. We will miss Mary more than words can say.
Visitation will be 5-8 pm, Wednesday, November 2nd 2022 at Reardon Funeral Home in Simi Valley. There will be open sharing of stories of remembrance at 6:30 pm. All are invited to participate.
Funeral services will be held 10 am, Thursday, November 3rd 2022 at St Rose of Lima Church in Simi Valley. Burial will follow at Pierce Brothers Valley Oaks Memorial Park in Thousand Oaks.
