Mary Smailes

Mary Eileen Smailes passed peacefully from this life the morning of November 26th after a gradual decline in health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life. Eileen was born in Dennison, Ohio in 1922. She married her childhood sweetheart Bill in 1945 and they lived in Massillon, Ohio until 1963 raising their 7 children. At the urging of her brother Pat, they moved to California where she lived the remainder of her life. Eileen is survived by seven children (spouses): Bill Jr. (Mihaela), Susan Martinez, Sarah Goldstein, Debe Michaud, Mary Mong, Jacque Murphy and Jeffrey. She also was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband Bill.Mass will be Friday December 5 at 10:30 AM, St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church1305 Royal AveSimi Valley, CA 93065
