Maria Ceniceros

Our legacy and beloved mother Maria De La Luz Ceniceros was called home to be with our beloved father, Fabian Ceniceros, whom she was devoted to in marriage for 69 years.
She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on the evening of November 23, 2018, in Simi Valley California, where she lived for 56 years. She was born in El Paso, Texas on May 15, 1929 to Maria Cruz Rivera. That's where she met the love of her life and got married and had 8 children. She was 89, and is preceded in death by her husband Fabian Ceniceros, mother Maria Cruz Rivera, her sister Elivera Zertuche, brother Carlos Salcedo and children: Isela Gillespie (Rod), Antonio Lorenzo Ceniceros, and Francisca Ceniceros.
She is survived by the following children: Irene Barretto (Rudy), Maria De La Cruz Aguilar (Thomas), Gracie Santellano (Al "Lolo"), Mike Ceniceros (Patsy) and Armando Ceniceros. She was a Grandmother to 17, Great Grandmother to 49, and Great Great Grandmother to 15 children. She was a devoted Catholic wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She lead by example and taught us all the importance of faith and family. She loved to attend to her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren's school and sport events. She had left a void in our hearts that will never mend, until we meet again.
There will be a visitation at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home on Thursday December 6th from 6-9:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayer service at 7:00 p.m.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rose of Lima Parish on Friday December 7th at 10:00 a.m. (1305 Royal Ave. Simi Valley, Ca 93065)
Interment will follow the mass at Assumption Catholic Cemetery: 1380 Fitzgerald Rd. Simi Valley, Ca 93065
A Celebration of Maria's life will be held after the interment at the Moose Lodge in Simi Valley: 4860 Alamo St. Simi Valley, Ca 93063
