In Memory of Our Mother, Margaret A. Beltran.
Our Beloved Mother, Margaret Alvarez Beltran passed away to her eternal home with her Lord Jesus Christ on November 12, 2015 after a lengthy illness. She was born on October 17, 1925 in Presidio, Texas. In her 90 years of life, she was a devoted, faithful wife to her loving husband, Primo Sr., who preceded her. She lived in Moorpark for 59 years.
As a young woman she taught a one room schoolhouse in Texas before she got married during the war. Our mother wrote to her pen pal, Primo Sr. (with the help of her cousin) in WWII for 3 years before he came out of the war. He lived in Los Angeles, with his family. When our father met her after the war he immediately asked her to marry him. They were married for 59 years.
She worked in many jobs but the longest time working was with Burroughs Corp. (computers) for 10 years. Our family was blessed to have delicious "home cooked" meals including "home made" tortillas daily. She liked to read, crochet, camp with her family in the national parks, and play her "Word Search" games (lots of them).
She was a mother of 5 children: Olivia(Jesus Sr.), Delia, Primo, Martha(Dale), and Jimmy. She was wonderful, compassionate, unselfish, caring mother. She loved all her family unconditionally: Her 13 grandchildren; Jesus Jr., Victor, Arthur, Robert Jr., Theresa, Elisa, Hope, William, Margaret, Matthew, Melissa, Michael and Kevin; Her 15 great grandchildren; Sarah, Luke, Rebecca, Rachel, Angie, Myranda, Kenyon, Kaleyah, Mekeya, Christian, Gabe, Trenton, Kevin Jr., Mackenzie, and Ryan.
She was the oldest of 14 children. She is survived by 6 'loving and caring" siblings: Hector, Mary Lou, Abigail, Oscar, Gracie, and Viviano, and their families and many other relatives.
There will be a visitation on Wednesday, November, 18th 2015 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home in Simi valley. There will be a Funeral Mass on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Church in Moorpark with interment to follow immediately at Assumption Catholic Cemetery in Simi Valley.
