Lois Rhodes

Lois (Spellman) Rhodes passed away at home on the morning of November 15, 2023 after a long battle with dementia. Lois was born on December 11, 1933 to John and Irene (Henderson) Spellman in Columbus, Ohio. She and her husband raised two beautiful daughters. Lois was the quintessential homemaker who created a heartfelt and loving home for her family and friends. She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. That warmth invited friendships which lasted a lifetime. For the past two years she valiantly fought the debilitating effects of dementia. She will be sadly missed by family and friends alike.
Lois is survived by her husband of seventy years, Cecil Rhodes, daughter Pamela Rhodes (Don), daughter Diane Stein (Jeff), grandsons Jason Stein (Megan) and Justin Stein (Alexandra), great granddaughter Sibyl Stein and great grandson Theodore Stein.
Services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Chatsworth on December 1, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Alzheimers Association at
