Lareen “Skogi” Baker
May 4, 1944 - April 6, 2023
Skogi was a loving and devoted teacher for 37 years in the Conejo Valley. She always saw the good in others, touched the lives of many and her strong faith guided her in all she did. She performed for many years as “Juliette Low” in Girl Scouts. Skogi loved laughing, teaching, singing, birding, hiking and especially golf; she was also a proud member of Delta Kappa Gamma (DKG), an educational society.
Although her medical issues became severe, Skogi handled this burden with inimitable wit and humor.
Skogi is survived by her husband Larry Baker, who has been her caring partner for 47 years. She is also survived by her brother Stephen Davis Sr., her brother- and sister-law Brad and Donna Baker, her niece Whitney and her nephews Andrew Baker, and Steven Davis Jr.
Skogi’s bright light now shines in heaven; on earth she will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers, donation checks can be made out to "Delta Kappa Gamma”, attention CLU Scholarships, DKG - 637 Citation Way, Newbury Park CA 91320
