Kitty Bergquist

September 28, 1929 — January 1, 2017

Mrs. Kitty Bergquist, 87, of Simi Valley, passed away on January 1, 2017 in Simi Valley. Kitty was born on September 28, 1929 in Amsterdam, Holland to Bertus and Catirina DeBree. Kitty was a survivor of the German occupied Holland during World War 2 and emigrated to America in the late 1940’s. She gave up a potential modeling career to focus on raising her family whom she loved dearly; an avid collector of clowns, Kitty was one of the most generous people in the world often putting the needs of others before her own. She will be greatly missed.
Kitty is preceded in death by her husband Robert and daughter Linda. She is survived by her granddaughter Samantha, grandsons Justin and Murray and daughter Virginia.
There will be a visitation on Monday, January 16 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with a funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m. at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park in Sylmar.
