Judith Sutherland

Judith Ann Drummond Sutherland, 76, of Simi Valley, passed away on Friday, February 5, 2016 in SImi Valley. Judith was born on January 29, 1940 in Auburn, New York and raised by Burke and Marjorie Drummond. A Ventura County resident for 38 years, Judith worked at MIT and Harvard in her 20's, then many years at Prudential Insurance in California before retiring. She was a talented artist who enjoyed Tole painting and creating beautiful flower arrangements. She loved theater, dance, museums, and music. She proudly taught swimming lessons and lifeguarded at the YMCA in her youth. Judith is survived by her son Richard Sutherland, her daughter Elizabeth James, her grandchildren: Cade Cothrum, Lura James, and Madelyn James; her mother Marjorie Drummond, and her siblings: Katherine Didham, Steven Anderson, Anne Iverson, and Beth Kearney.There will be a Funeral Service on Friday, February 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home. Following services Judith will be buried with her family in Auburn, New York at Fort Hill Cemetery.
