Joyce Sparks-Kirk
Dec 29, 1949-July 6, 2015
Those who knew Joyce would describe her as a woman who was tough as nails. But, those who really knew her, knew that she was a softie on the inside. She had a love of dogs and could never refuse a stray or two. She had the ability to see people, and love them for who they were. She lived her life with a passion and pleasure that few people would allow themselves to experience. She was a unique woman, a once in a lifetime, kinda gal. Joyce embodied the entrepreneurial spirit and always took care of her family. She was unable to mask her opinion and always spoke the truth, a trait she passed on to her 2 daughters.
She grew up in Massachusetts, but came to California early in her life and never looked back. Joyce is survived by her husband of 15 years, Daniel Kirk, her 2 daughters, Elyse Wieler and Margot Durham, and her 5 grandchildren, Sierra, Brianna, Elliott, Spencer, and Trea.
She was taken too soon, and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. The path to the future is no doubt paved with motorcycle rallies, rock and roll music, crossword puzzles and endless adventures. Ride on Mama, ride free!
