Jorge Arturo Salazar,
Jorge Arturo Salazar was a wonderful father to many and husband to Domitila Salazar. On Friday December 17th, 2021 after 8 long years he lost his battle with pulmonary fibrosis. Born in 1941 in Zacapa, Guatemala he grew up being the middle child of 5. As a young man he decided to migrate to the United States. In April of 1976 he met and fell in love with Domitila Robles whom he married on July 26th, 1979. Together, they helped raise and support many nieces and nephews. In October of 1990 they had their only daughter Dina Corina Salazar. He was a wonderful father and uncle. He always wanted nothing but the best for his family making sure to always stay up to date on everyone’s plans and whereabouts ready and willing to give advice and help whenever and wherever he was needed. A hardworking man, he started working in Guatemala at the young age of 14. Later on, in the United States he worked as an engineer in plastics, became a realtor and even a part time driver. On his free time he loved playing the piano, painting, drawing and loved to travel. He loved adventure and traveling was one of his favorite pastimes. Out of all his ventures, Guatemala and Mexico held a special place in his heart. He always dreamt of having a house by a beach in Mexico where he could enjoy his retirement. Anywhere with a beach was his favorite place to be. He loved a full house with family and friends whenever it was possible and always made sure to stay connected to everyone he cared about. He will forever be missed by all his loved ones for he was taken away too soon.
We know that we can’t have you now but know you are no longer suffering and can take the deepest of breaths once again. Goodbye dad, husband, uncle, grandfather, godfather, brother, cousin and friend.
Jorge Salazar will be survived by his beloved family Domitila, Dina, Jorge Mario, Roberto and so many others.
