John Y. Chabot passed away on Wednesday October 27, 2021 in White Cloud, Michigan. He had just turned 68 years old. Born October 16, 1953 in El Paso, Texas to MSGT Joseph & Ume Chabot, he graduated in 1972 from Royal High School in Simi Valley, then went straight into the Army for 3 years. He was a mechanic repairing military tanks. When he came home, he was a heavy equipment operator. John was a good person when you got to know him. He had a good sense of humor and was funny.
He is survived by his sister, Jean; niece, Jeanna; nephew, Ty from Oklahoma; sister June; nephew, Ray; niece, Jennifer; nephew, Brian from Washington; sister Joyce from Simi Valley; nephew, Eddie from Lake Havasu, Arizona; niece, Ashley from San Diego, Ca; his only son Kelly (wife Reta) from Oklahoma, and his grandkids Nathan - 21 years, Noah - 16 years, Joe - 8 years, Laura - 11 years, Kelly - 6 years, and great grandson, Drea - 2 years.
You will be loved and missed very much. John is going to be in Heaven with his brother Jimmy, Mom & Dad. So your family will be waiting for you at the resting place, and you will be at peace now. Love, your family. A viewing will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, November 12, 2021 at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home (2636 Sycamore Dr. Simi Valley, Ca 93065). A Graveside Service will follow the viewing at 1:00 pm at the San Fernando Mission Cemetery
