Jesse Delgado, 76, lifelong resident of Simi Valley, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016.
A hard working man, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather, Great-Great-Grandfather, Uncle and brother, worked for the City of Simi Valley for 30 years and the Ventura County Fire Dept. for 33 years. He loved spending time with family, camping, backyard bbq's, working in his backyard, caring for his fruit trees, going to car shows with his sons, watching the Dallas Cowboys and LA Dodgers. His love for tractors grew while working for the City of Simi Valley and more so when he became apart of the Ventura County Dozer Group.
He will be forever missed by his 6 children;Vivian Delgado, Jesse Delgado Jr.(Nancy), Joe Delgado(Joanne), Rachel Marin(Emilio), Richard Delgado(Danni), Audrey Rodriguez(Nic), his 16 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, his brother Gilbert Delgado, brother Ruben Delgado, Sister Keno Ramirez, and Sister Margaret Sierra. He is predeceased by his loving wife of 56 years Erminia "Masie" Delgado, Sisters Nelly, Lucy, Alice and Monie and his Brother John.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, January 28, 2016 from 5:00p.m.-9:00p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with interment to follow immediately at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers, we ask that you donate to the Grossman Burn Center where he helped his fellow firefighters with different events held there for their patients.
