James Regan

1935-2021: James, “Jim,” William Regan, of Granada Hills, CA, passed away at the age of 86 on Thursday, December 9th.
Jim was born in Springfield, IL on July 20, 1935 to Johanna Catherine Laffey Regan and James Howard Regan. Jim graduated from Springfield High School, and then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1955-1957. He then moved to southern California. While in California, Jim married Sandra Griffith on January 3, 1959, and they had three beautiful children together, Tim, Tracey and Sally. Jim was a successful insurance agent and founded his own business, North Hills Insurance Services. He was known for his witty sense of humor and his love of his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johanna and Jimmy Regan, as well as his grandparents, Patrick and Florence Laffey and William and Bridget Regan, and nephews Mike and Jimmy Dougherty, and Tommy Regan.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Regan; children Tim (wife, Lynn) Regan, Tracey (husband, Dean) Plemon, and Sally Zazzarino. He was also proud Papa to nine grandchildren: Deannie Plemon, Josh (wife, Jazmin) Plemon, Riley (husband, Parker) Schroeder, Timothy Plemon, Janessa Regan, Erin Regan, and James Regan, Nicholas Zazzarino and Dominic (wife, Caitlin) Zazzarino, as well as four great-grandchildren, Paisley and Hudson Plemon and Micah and Lilah Regan. Jim is also survived by three siblings: Tom (wife, Karen) Regan of Springfield, IL , Pat (husband, Bill) Dougherty of Fayetteville, GA, and Janet (husband, Vic) Burghart of Rochester, IL.
