James Brown, 25, of Simi Valley passed away on August 29, 2015 in Kane'ohe, Hawaii. Airman James Brown was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado on December 8, 1990. He graduated from Santa Susana High School in Simi Valley, California. He completed his basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois in October 2014 and reported to NATTC Pensacola where he completed two months of Aviation Electrician's Mate training. Following training in Pensacola, he reported to CNATTU North Island in California where he trained an additional two months learning about the aircraft he would soon work on, the MH-60R. Airman Brown reported to the HSM-47 "Easyrider" Ohana on June 11, 2015, where he immediately embraced, and was embraced by, the Squadron and quickly became known as the shipmate who always had a positive attitude and smile to give. James Brown is survived by his mother, Tracie. Tervalon;father, Kenneth Tervalon; sister, Jalen Tervalon; brother,Jacen Tervalon; grandmother, Beverly Keel Marie Tervalon;grandfather, Kenneth Tervalon Sr.; uncles Erik Plummer and Patrick Tervalon and a host of other relatives and friends. There will be a visitation on Thursday, September 10, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Simi Community Church 2000 Royal Ave, Simi Valley Ca, 93065.
