Mrs. Helen L. Hanley-Hoyson, 80, of Titusville, went to be with our Lord, Friday morning, June 17, 2016, at Simi Valley Hospital, Simi Valley, Ca, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Stuben Township Pa, on July 20, 1935, a daughter to the late Jacob and Elizabeth Rudisille-Banta. She married Harold E. Hanley on May 24, 1952 at St. James Episcopal Church in Titusville; he preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 1985. She then married Nickolas Hoyson in 1990 at the Troy Center Church, who also preceded her in death.
Helen enjoyed sewing, puzzles, and spending time with her family. After a 28- year absence, she earned her high school diploma from Titusville Area High School in 1979. She worked a variety of jobs in her lifetime, including GTE Sylvania in Titusville. She retired after working several years as a deli clerk for Vons Grocery Stores in Ca in 1998.
Helen is survived by one daughter, Christy Best and husband, Michael of Santa Maria, Ca; three sons, Harold Hanley and wife Diane of Camarillo, Ca; Kevin Hanley and wife Joy of Goleta, Ca; Jason Hanley and wife Michelle of Hayes, Va., three sisters, Joy Ives of Titusville, Leora Schneider of Poteau, Ok, and Donna Crawford, of Meadville, six grandchildren and two great grand children.
Helen was preceded in death by a daughter, Carol Ellen Hanley, two brothers, Leon Banta and Perry Banta, two sisters, Mary Bidwell and Margaret Banta and a grandchild, Cameron Cheung.
A service will be held at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home, 2636 Sycamore Drive, Simi Valley, Ca 93065, Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m., June 22, 2016. Interment will be on Friday, June 24, 2016, at the Mountain View Cemetery, Kingman, Az. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
