Gus Joseph Fauci, 78 of Simi Valley, CA went to heaven on November 7, 2018 after fighting a courageous battle to survive a horrific ATV accident in May, 2017.
Gus was born May 21, 1940 to Charles and Anna (Scibilia) Fauci in Niagara Falls, New York along with his twin sister Marie (Fauci) Beeson.
Along with their other siblings, Chuck Fauci (Tracy Fauci) and Mike Fauci (Diana Fauci), the family moved to California in 1953.
Gus worked as a painting contractor for many years. For the last 20 years he worked exclusively at Television & Motion Picture Hospital in Calabasas as a general contractor.
Gus married his high school sweetheart Susan and together they had 4 children …. Jerry Fauci of Roseburg, Orgeon; Geno Fauci (Rhonda Fauci) of Moorpark, CA; Justine Aronson (Hugh Paarmann)of Santa Cruz, CA; and Gus Fauci (Francine Fauci) of Placerville, CA.
He coached his sons little league baseball teams; pop warner football teams and rec basketball teams. He bought his daughter a horse for Christmas and never stopped telling the story of her delight when she opened the front door Christmas morning to see her new horse!
Gus met Sheree (Bradford-Brown) Fauci in 1988. They courted for 8 years before he convinced her to marry him in 1996. Together they traveled the world and enjoyed every trip. They built a log cabin home at Lake Nacimento where they always enjoyed spending time with their friends and families.
Gus loved spending time with his cherished family members and friends. No one enjoyed the holidays more than Gus. He would spend weeks setting up a Christmas Village and he loved it when the kids would come and see it. He loved his trains; he loved playing games especially Yahtzee. He was one mean poker player too!
No one could ever cook a better turkey or make a better stuffing than Gus! He loved making homemade raviolis and Italian Bow cookies and loved when his children also made them and taught their children too!
He loved motorcycles; loved to fish; loved to hunt; loved doing crossword puzzles; loved NASCAR; loved to watch the Rams and Dodgers but mostly he LOVED LIFE.
HE WAS THE BIGGEST KID OF ALL !
He leaves many broken hearts. He has 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
The world truly lost a wonderful, loving and giving man.
