Frank (Francis) George Kovach passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at the age of 83. His family surrounded Frank in Fillmore, California when he passed. His battle with serious medical conditions showed his stead fast courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Frank became a hero and stayed strong until the end.
Frank was born to Elizabeth Modock and Julius Kovach on January 22, 1938, in Winber, Pennsylvania. Frank had an older brother Julius “Juice” Kovach. His parents and brother proceeded him in death.
Frank met the love of his life, Lynda Doris Carpenter while working at a gas station as she needed her brakes adjusted, it was love at first sight. They were married within 3 months. They eloped on November 22, 1961 to Las Vegas, Nevada, and were married Thanksgiving Day. They lived for 40 years in Simi Valley and the past 18 years in Tucson, Arizona.
Frank is survived by his wife, Lynda of 60 years and they had two sons. Roger and his wife Lynne, their combined children Nolan, Tanner, Gavin, and Brandon. Ron and his wife Debbie and their three children, Victoria, Nicole and Joshua.
Frank loved his family, both near and far. He looked forward to family gatherings, going to casino, fishing the creeks with his kids, he enjoyed the great outdoors and doing the morning cryptos with his wife. Frank was in the Army’s 101st Airbornne infantry and worked for Rocketdyne for 35 years.
Frank will be honored in a celebration of his life at Reardon in Simi Valley on Friday, February 4, 2022 at 10:00 am, followed by a graveside service at Oakwood Memorial Park in Chatsworth. Visitation will be February 3, 2022 from 5-8 pm at Reardon in Simi Valley.
