Elfriede "Frieda" Becerra

Mrs. Elfriede A. Becerra (Frieda) passed away on Friday May 13, 2022, at the age of 85. She was a German immigrant, who came to the United States the bride of an American soldier, John Becerra, in 1957. Frieda soon found herself in the little town of Simi Valley, where she would spend the next 65 years raising three children and befriending everyone from the street sweeper and trashman to the local Congressman and a legendary film director. She loved people and they loved her back. She was fearless, with a gypsy spirit that took her on adventures that no one would believe, unless you were in the car with her. And yes, her children were always in that car.
Frieda will be missed by all who knew her and never forgotten, especially by her brother Horst Gotthardt, her three children, Rachel Giroux, John & Tina Becerra, and Glen & Sally Becerra and her seven grandchildren, Stephanie, Jonathan, Amanda, Jillian, Shane, Elizabeth, and Nicholas and two great grandchildren Blake and Maverick. She was a devout Catholic and loved her faith dearly. Her life will be celebrated with a Mass on May 25th at 10am. Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Simi Valley.
