Donald Wedermann

Donald "Don" Wedermann, 83, of Simi Valley, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2015 in Simi Valley. Donald was born on June 7, 1932 in Hollywood, California. After graduating high school, Donald enlisted in the United States Army where he served honorably during the Korean War and during which, met his beloved wife Rose. They were married on November 4, 1954. Soon after they moved to Canoga Park, California with their budding new family. Don and Rose became residents of Simi Valley in 1965, moving here on New Year's Day, making it their home and where they would spend the rest of their lives. Don enjoyed building wooden model airplanes of all sizes and later in life he became an avid stamp collector, collecting various stamps from around the world. He enjoyed going to his favorite donut shop every morning and most of all he loved caring for his beloved dogs.Donald was preceded in death by his loving wife Rose, who passed in 2009 and his eldest son Don Jr. who passed in 2006. We take comfort in knowing that they are all reunited again. Donald is survived by his sons: Paul Wedermann and Jerry (Esther) Wedermann; grandchildren: Rosanna (Chris) Throgmorton, Chelsea (Rob) Brown, Shelbea (Naor) Wedermann, Jerry "Buddy" Wederman, Dillon (Corinne) Wedermann; great-granddaughters: Brooke Throgmorton, Alyssa Throgmorton and Aaliyah Wedermann. He will be loved and missed by all that knew him. There will be a Memorial Service on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 AT 12:00 P.M. AT Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home.
