WENZEL, Dean James, 63, of Northridge, passed away on April 8, 2023 after a four-month stay in intensive care due to an assault. He has joined his father, Lee Bey Wenzel, and mother, Barbara Wenzel, and brother, Neil Wenzel. Dean is survived by Marianne Wenzel; his children, Brian, Nicholas, and Daniel; grandchildren, Jack, Ben, Olivia, and Emilia; his siblings, Teri, Mark, Christy, Lisa, Julie, Kent, and Todd; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, and nieces.
Dean had three loves, his family/friends, his work, and golf. His family and friends knew him as “Deano” and he lived a wild and free lifestyle. He was proud of his three boys who he helped raise with Marianne; he coached sports, and worked hard to provide for his family. Dean was a painter, a craftsman, and had the ability to fix anything in a home. He had a love for the beach and swimming in the ocean. He never judged a soul and was willing to lend a helping hand when someone needed it most.
Dean did not seek material goods, but rather wanted to spend time having fun with those he loved. If he were not with family or working, he would be found helping someone fix something or playing golf. He had a great sense of humor and could talk and make friends with anyone. Dean had an adventurous spirit and playful heart and he just wanted people to be happy and feel loved.
