Christine Marie Brown

It is with great sadness that the family of Christine Marie Brown announce her passing on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the age of 88. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of the late Joaquin and Bertha Di Martino. 

She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her daughters, Roseann and Robin, who have as big a heart as she did, her loving daughter-in-law, Julie Brown, as well as her selfless grandchildren, Phil, Scott, Josh, and Jacqui (Chris), her joyfully rebellious great-grandchildren, Anthony, Monique, Marissa, Mason, Charlotte, Holly Jean, and Joseph, niece, Valerie, nephews, Joe and Jeff, and great-nephew Sean. 

She was predeceased by her son, Harry James Brown, sister, Barbara Butmarc, brother Joe Di Martino, and her loving parents. Her family takes great comfort knowing that Harry James and Christine are back in each other's arms considering how close they were in life. 

Christine loved to travel, loved food and sweets, and had a great zest for life. She was very loving and was always there with open arms when anyone needed a hug. She was a passionate woman, and she related that passion to the color red. She showed that passion through babysitting, humor and her love for Elvis and the Dodgers. She was an amazing mother, aunt, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was the perfect example of a mother who was loving, caring and selfless. Her motherly love lives on through her daughters, with Roseann being an amazing mother of two and Robin being a selfless mother to many as a teacher. Christine will be missed not just for how she acted, but how she made everyone feel at home and welcome.
