Charles Higgins

August 24, 1949 — February 4, 2023

Charles Francis Higgins “Chuck” was born on August 24, 1949 to his parents, Francis and Gleonora Higgins.
Chuck lived a life of adventure. He was an avid surfer and spent 17 years on the waves, 6 of which were focused on big waves over 30ft! He loved being in the snow too and was an accomplished snowboarder and skier. He grew up playing baseball, football and wrestling while in school. After he graduated from Mira Costa High School in 1967 he enlisted in the navy.
He went on to get his contractors license and won four awards for architectural design. He was a talented contractor who built over 10,000 homes while working in Southern California where he was raising his family.
As accomplished as he was, being a father was his most important role. He was the proud dad to 7 kids, each one holding their own special place in his life. Chuck worked tirelessly for his family and was always striving to make them the happiest that he possibly could.
Chuck was a soft spoken, diligent and conscientious person that had a heart full of love. He always wanted to help people and believed in being kind above all else.
He is survived by his 7 children, Greg (Amy), Erika, Karianne (Ed), Katie, Kristy (Patrick), Brooklynn, Tanner (Zahra), his mother Glenora, his sister Lori, his brother Richard (Maria), his aunt Charlene, grandchildren: Madisyn, Kenzy, Andrew, Searra, Raquel, Noah, Braelynn, Kyleigh, and Lucas, nephews: Evan, Joshua, Cole, and Nick, and many wonderful friends and family. He is proceeded in death by his father Frank Higgins and aunt Armita Lipjanec
His kindness and love will live on through all those that knew him. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
The family will hold a memorial for Chuck in August 2023. More information to come.
