Carol Giambastiani

August 3, 1943 — April 7, 2017

Carol Ann Giambastiani
In loving memory of Carol Ann Giambastiani, born Aug 3rd 1943, passed
on April 7th 2017 at Simi Valley Hospital. She is survived by her
brother, Al Giambastiani Jr.; sons, John & Michael Childers;
stepchildren, Thanh & Kim Kennedy; grandchildren, Johnny, Jessika,
Jordin and Jayme Childers; niece, Stacie Popejoy and all her beloved
rescue animals.
Carol was born in Pawtucket, RI. She moved with her family in 1960 to
Canoga Park, California and graduated from Canoga Park High in 1961.
After graduation she attended cosmetology school at Latin Brothers
School of Beauty in Reseda, CA in 1962. In 1981 she went to work for
Pacific Bell as a directory assistant operator and retired after 17
years of devoted service. Carol volunteered her time at the Simi
Valley VFW Post 10049 as President of the Women’s Auxiliary and
provided patients at the Camarillo State Hospital with beautiful hair.
Carol was one of the best damn cooks of various cuisines and her home
and table were always open and available to anyone who crossed her
threshold. It will certainly be a much lonelier life to many without
her love and compassion. She will be missed by all, Rest in Peace.
Visitation will be held Friday, April 21st at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home
beginning at 10am, with interment at 1pm at Assumption Cemetery.
Reception to follow at Simi Valley VFW Post 10049, 4242 E. Los Angeles
Ave.
