Barbara Morrison

Barbara Jeane Morrison, 91, of Simi Valley, passed away on June 13, 2023.
Jeane was born on October 15, 1931 to Grace and Willard Keane in Akron, Iowa. After Jeane graduated from St. Anthony’s high school in Long Beach, CA, she went on to study nursing at St. Vincent’s College and became a registered nurse.
Early in her career, she traveled to Hawaii to train as a nurse and also became a stewardess for TWA. For years, she worked as an operating room nurse, retiring from the VA hospital in Sepulveda after 20 years of service.
Jeane married Larry Morrison and had six children, David, Kyle, Jennifer, Matthew, Heather and Moira. The family settled in Simi Valley in 1968.
Jeane spent more than 20 years traveling the world serving others on medical missions where she helped bring medical services to poor areas where none were available. She was active in both Catholic churches in Simi Valley.
Jeane is survived by her ex-husband, Larry, her six children and her grandchildren, Brittany, Kellen, Danica, Grace, Lucy, Rod, Winston and Augusta.
Services will be held at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 27 at 11 am.
