Anne Locke Bansbach, 90, of Simi Valley, passed away on June 30, 2015 in Simi Valley. Anne was born on March 3, 1925 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to John and Lenore Locke. She was a county resident of Ventura County for 44 years where she retired as an educator working for both St. Rose of Lima School and the Simi Valley Unified School District. She taught all subjects but loved math and english. So much in her own heart which she gave with such ease. She was a model for the right kind of life. Anne was an active member of St. Rose of Lima Parish as well as her community. She loved Bridge and all of her dear Bridge friends, they were her cornerstone in her later years. She participated in various groups including New in Town and AAUW. She loved crossword puzzles, Sudoku and lotto scratchers as well as trips to Chumash. There was not a mean bone in her body, she never said anything bad about anyone. She had a smile on her face and a song in her heart. Anne was preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years (Herbert Leo) her parents and her three siblings. She is survived by 8 children, 19 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and her brother Rev. James E. Locke. There will be a visitation on Monday, July 6, from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home with a Funeral Mass beginning on Tuesday, July 7 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with interment to follow.
