Anna M. Ballantoni, 88,of Simi Valley, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2015 at her home in Simi Valley. Anna was born on July 26, 1927 in Hoyt, Kansas and lived there until she was 18 years old. She lived on a farm where she took care of horses, cows, chickens and pigs. Anna grew up with her sisters Anita and Agnes; around 1945 Anna met her soon to be husband Joseph through a mutual friend at the Kansas State Fair, they were married in June, 1946 and moved to Hagerstown, Maryland and shortly after to Port Chester, New York. It was there where their first child Gary was born. A year later Linda was born. It was then they relocated to Arlington, Texas for her husband's new job. It was soon after they had their third child John. In Texas, Anna made lots and lots of friends and was a devoted housewife and mother. Eventually the family went west to California in 1959 where they settled in the San Fernando Valley in Northridge. Anna grew roots and began going to the Presbyterian Church, where she made many, many, new friends, and neighbors. They moved to Simi Valley in 1972. Anna loved to read, knit, crochet, sew, bake, gardening and cooking outstanding meals. Holidays were a must and all gathered around. She also had many sayings that would help you through the day. She will always be cherished as a sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt. All of her children Gary, Linda Lou, Linda Jean, John and Denise and all of her grandchildren: Christopher, Amanda, Varina, Corey, Bernice, Laura, Mathew, and great grandchildren Kate, Madelyn and Kian. We will all miss you terribly, we love YOU! Rest in Peace. There will be a visitation on Friday, December 11, 2015 from 9-11:00 a.m. at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home with a Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 am with interment to follow at Assumption Catholic Cemetery.
