Alfred Sanchez age 85, entered eternal life on May 3, 2021. He was born in Bakersfield, CA on April 29, 1936 to John Sanchez and Theodosia Contreras. He was the 11th child born into a family of 13 siblings. He married the love of his life Diana Sanchez and was married for the past 68 years. He was a hard-working man who started AL’s Construction Company where he helped build many foundations and houses for many people. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed golfing, watching cooking shows, and watching the Dodgers and Lakers. He loved going to his grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sporting events. He enjoyed traveling and taking his wife to dinner. He always loved spending time with his family and friends.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents John Sanchez and Theodosia Contreras. Brothers Raymond Sanchez, Doniecio Sanchez, Jimmy Sanchez, Henry Sanchez, Ernie Sanchez, John Sanchez, Vincent Sanchez and Richard Sanchez and sisters Angelina Alverez, Marcellina Zuniga, Charlotte Nader, and grandson Wesley Sanchez. He is survived by his wife Diana Sanchez, daughter Cynthia Pelayo, his son Caddy Sanchez, grandchildren Josh Pelayo, Amy Cottle, Angela Sanchez, Jessica Petty, Nicholas Sanchez and his great grandchildren David, Landyn, Chandler, Bella, Athena, Alanah, Reanna, Benjamin, Alexis, Isabella, Danica, and numerous extended family members.
The viewing will be held at 6:00 PM with a rosary to follow at Reardon Simi Valley Funeral Home on Wednesday May 26, 2021. There will be a mass held at 10:00 AM at St. Rosa Lima Church, followed by a graveside service at Assumption Catholic Cemetery on Thursday, May 27, 2021. Due to COVID we ask that you wear a mask and practice social distancing.
